In the spring of 2004, with little more than a vision and a lot of desire (I was
operating out of the back of my Pontiac Sunfire!!) I decided to venture out and
start my own company. I had gained some knowledge, having been employed with
different landscape companies in the past, but more than knowledge I had a strong
belief that if I stayed true to myself and my customers I could achieve my desire to
operate my own successful landscape company. What would follow was the birth of
a new Rhyno…Rhyno’s Landscaping Inc.!
Knowing that in order to be successful I would not be able to work alone I set
out to build an employee base who could help me realize my vision. I had always
believed in the old adage “you’re only as good as the people you surround yourself
with” and in the case of this company that has proven true time and time again.
Our employees are dedicated to providing customer satisfaction, our business is
landscaping but “attention to detail” is our hallmark.
In the beginning we were primarily a maintenance company, servicing mostly
residential customers in the areas of lawn cutting, trimming, spring and fall
clean up and fertilizing. As things progressed our customer base grew to include
commercial properties and soon our customers began to ask for additional
services. We found ourselves branching into other aspects of landscaping such as
mulching, garden design, planting, sod work etc. Concrete work, asphalt repair and
installation, tree work and general contracting are just some of the services we are
now able to provide.
”Professional Networking” has become an intricate part of this business. Along
with maintaining excellence in our area of expertise we have also been able to
surround ourselves with other local companies with their own expertise. This has
allowed us to move forward with our workload feeling confident that our sub-
contractors have the same type of work ethic as the staff at “Rhyno’s Landscaping”.
As we come to the end of our 6th successful season we continue to grow and
encounter new challenges. As always we are excited to bring new landscape ideas to
the HRM and surrounding areas.
